Decided to spend Mother’s Day (late) lunch here at Yellow Bird Cafe in Antipolo!

Life is Beautiful. 😍

I love the exterior and interior of the whole place. It’s full of greens, very easy on the eyes. The sunlight peeking through the blinds, makes the place truly homey and really comfy.

With the food, there are hits but there are some misses too! But, there is always room for improvement.

Real pumpkin used, not just some powdered mix.

Fried Lumpiang Ubod

Crunchy!

Gising Gising

Surprised to see this Gising Gising dish when it landed on the table. But definitely a good choice, the coconut flavor is really there and the veg is still crunchy despite being submerged in an oil based sauce.

Baby Back Ribs

Love the marinade and the all over taste, but lacks the tenderness and melts in your mouth feeling of the meat. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, maybe it’s just because of the occasion, overwhelming guests during lunch time.

Katsudon

This is the one dish that we could have made without.

Grilled Pork Belly

Just like the ribs, I love the taste, but it could use some more time in the boiling department to give it a little bit more of tenderness.

Sesame Crusted Salmon Fillet

I love this, I just have to remove the Sriracha Sauce before taking a bite! Too hot for me! The salmon was cut into bite size pieces, then grilled to perfection with roasted sesame on top. The sauce complements everything, including the shrimps.

Garlic and Shrimp Pesto

It’s not your usual pesto pasta, it’s very creamy! I super love this dish and I am gonna order this again the next time we visit.

Overall, I am recommending Yellow Bird Cafe x Kitchen. The food is great. The ambiance is nice. Worth the trip of about an hour from where we came from. Everyone’s nice and very accommodating.

Oh, and their Chocolate Dome Cake is superb. So superb, there’s not much left when I decided to take a picture!

Also, they gave us complementary ice cream because it’s Mother’s Day! My children love it!
