At a friend’s wedding last night, I was seated beside a pregnant friend. For the whole evening, we just talked about baby stuff. Like me, she would be breastfeeding her baby. I just can’t stop babbling about breastfeeding, my experiences and the mistakes I committed because I wasn’t well informed. I don’t want her to commit the same mistakes I did.
When one is informed, you just want to share all your knowledge to the other person. Well, I guess that’s what being an advocate is all about. You strive to inform and contribute to the community. You fight for what you believe in. You support with all your might.
I know I am still not that knowledgeable about breastfeeding, but I know it’s a learning process. And while I’m on that road, I will try to influence as many people (mommies) as I could to breastfeed their babies.
For it’s not only the baby who will benefit but them also.
